Who we are
We are a human-centered design initiative dedicated to making medical packaging accessible, usable, and secure for everyone.
The problem
Traditional pharmacy packaging prioritizes child-resistant security, but often overlooks physical barriers faced by older adults and people with arthritis, tremors, or visual impairments. When packaging is too difficult to open, it often isn’t closed properly either, leading to compromised medication safety and shelf life.
What we do
Focusing on standard pharmacy pill bottle caps (push-to-open, align-to-open, and twist-to-open), we use field studies, user testing, and expert interviews to re-engineer mechanical closures, materials, and legibility.
Our goal
We want to prove that medical packaging can be safe and secure, while still breaking the barriers that many people face in their daily healthcare experiences.
